The Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force Lieutenant General Dan Kane, said today that a new report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) raises serious concerns and that the United States is closely monitoring the situation, Reuters reports, BTA reports.
Earlier that day, the 35-member board of the UN nuclear agency announced that Iran is violating its non-proliferation obligations for the first time in almost 20 years.
“The IAEA report is certainly alarming“, said General Kane, adding that the international community is considering its next steps after the agency's latest resolution accusing Iran of violations.
