The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked Iranian production facilities involved in the production of uranium enrichment centrifuges, the IDF Spokesperson's Office reported.
„More than 50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets, under the precise guidance of the Intelligence Directorate, carried out a series of attacks on military facilities in the Tehran area. "As part of efforts to undermine Iran's nuclear weapons program, an attack was carried out on a facility involved in the production of centrifuges in Tehran, which would allow the Iranian regime to expand the scale and speed of uranium enrichment for the development of nuclear weapons," the IDF said in a statement.
Several weapons-related facilities were also reportedly hit during the attack. "Among the weapons factories hit is the production of components for surface-to-surface missiles that the Iranian regime fires at the State of Israel," the press service said, noting that strikes also targeted factories producing systems and components for surface-to-air missiles designed to destroy aircraft.
