Following the massive attacks on Odessa and Kharkiv overnight, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on G7 countries to impose sanctions on the Russian energy sector and the so-called “shadow fleet“, reports the BBC, BTA reports.
“Overnight, the Russians launched a massive attack on Odessa, Kharkiv and their suburbs with more than 20 strike drones. About 20 people were injured, including two children - girls aged 12 and 17, as well as three rescuers from the State Emergency Service. Unfortunately, there is information about one death in Odessa“, Zelensky wrote.
According to him, a total of 86 drones were launched over Ukraine at night, which led to the destruction of residential buildings, enterprises, civilian infrastructure and cars.
“Russia continues its tactics of targeted terror against our people. It is precisely because of this that it must be given a strong response that will significantly affect all of Russia and its ability to wage war“, the Ukrainian president emphasized.
