Russian airstrikes on the Dnipropetrovsk region in Ukraine have become a constant and worrying trend in recent days. After the deadly attack on June 24, which killed at least 21 people and injured hundreds in Dnipro and the surrounding area, a new wave of shelling has claimed more lives in the region, reports the BBC, reports News.bg.
The latest missile attack on the city of Samar in the Dnipropetrovsk region killed three people and injured at least 14. The strike caused significant damage to residential and public buildings, with explosions causing large-scale fires.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that in the early hours of June 27, the Russian military launched a total of 371 air attack vehicles against the country, including 363 drones, two Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and six Kalibr cruise missiles. Although Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept and destroy 365 of them, several missiles reached their targets, causing destruction and casualties.
According to the information, the main target of the attacks was Khmelnytskyi Oblast, but the devastating strikes on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast underscored the ongoing tensions and the high price paid by the Ukrainian civilian population as a result of the conflict.
