Norway sends F-35 fighters to Poland to strengthen NATO defenses - 1

Norway will deploy its F-35 fighters to Poland this fall to strengthen NATO's air and missile defenses, reports Evropeyskaya Pravda.

The fighters will be sent to support the Polish air defense mission, as well as the strategic logistics center in the city of Rzeszow. This center plays a key role in the delivery of international aid to Ukraine.

“This is a vital contribution. We are helping to ensure that aid to Ukraine reaches its destination and that Ukraine can continue its fight for freedom,“ said Norwegian Defense Minister Tore O. Sandvik.

Since December 2024, Norwegian NASAMS air defense systems have been deployed at Rzeszów Airport to provide additional protection. At the end of April this year, Norway completed the delivery of all 52 F-35 fighter jets ordered by the United States.
