The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a written message to Friedrich Merz, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, regarding bilateral relations and opportunities for deepening cooperation between the two friendly countries, the UAE-UAM News Agency reported, BTA reported.
The message was delivered by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Special Envoy of the UAE to Germany, during a meeting with Torsten Frei, Head of the Federal Chancellery and Minister for Special Assignments, in Berlin. The meeting was also attended by Ahmed Al Attar, Ambassador of the UAE to the Federal Republic of Germany. This took place as part of Dr. Al Jaber's official visit to the country.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Jaber conveyed the greetings of the UAE leaders and their best wishes for progress and prosperity to the German government and people.
The two discussed opportunities to deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation between the UAE and Germany within the framework of their strategic partnership.
Dr. Al Jaber reaffirmed the UAE government's commitment to developing cooperation with Germany, building on over five decades of close and constructive relations. He highlighted the potential for new opportunities in key sectors such as economy, trade, energy, renewables, advanced industry and technology, as well as strategic investments, with a focus on sustainable development for both countries.
The minister noted that the relationship between the UAE and Germany is based on mutual understanding and productive cooperation, expressing his desire to further develop and expand the partnership, which will benefit the peoples of both countries and support stability and sustainable growth.
