Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude to US President Donald Trump for his readiness to protect the lives of Ukrainians, world agencies reported, quoted by NOVA.
"I am grateful to President Trump for his readiness to support the protection of the lives of our people," Zelensky said in his evening video address, released by the Ukrainian President's Office on Ukrinform.
Earlier yesterday, during his meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House, Trump announced that he would provide weapons to Kiev and give Moscow 50 days to reach a ceasefire agreement or face sanctions and tariffs of about 100 percent, "Reuters" notes.
Zelensky also said he had a "productive" discussion with US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg, who arrived in Kiev yesterday.
