The two met last night at a working dinner at the “Victoria“ Palace, the building of the Romanian Council of Ministers in Bucharest, reports the Agerpres agency, BTA reports.
The Romanian Prime Minister received his Hungarian counterpart, who is on a private visit to Romania on the occasion of his participation in the 34th edition of the “Tusvanos“ Summer University in the town of Băile Tusnad, Harghita County. The event, organized annually by representatives of the Hungarian minority in Romania with the support of Hungarian foundations, is a traditional platform for Orban, who will deliver his speech on Saturday.
During the talks in Bucharest, Bolojan and Orban discussed bilateral relations, focusing on concrete initiatives that can bring real benefits to the citizens of both countries, regardless of their ethnicity.
The Romanian prime minister stressed that his country wants constructive relations with Hungary, based on real cooperation and achievable results, the government press service said in a statement.
The increase in trade exchange, which in 2024 has exceeded 13.3 billion euros, as well as the development of new cross-border infrastructure projects to improve connectivity.
Ilie Bologian also presented Romania's main priorities within the European Union, emphasizing the need for unity and solidarity in the face of current geopolitical and economic challenges.
