No one should expect a blitzkrieg on the front in Ukraine - 1

In the Russian-Ukrainian war, a classic breakthrough on the front is unlikely to happen, as often happened during World War II - a blitzkrieg, since in the current conditions it is impossible to assemble a strike force with the necessary power. This was told by military analyst Denis Popovich in an interview with "Ukrainian Radio".

He explained that currently the so-called kill zones are being created on the front - zones of almost complete destruction, in which artillery and drones destroy practically everything that moves. In the future, the width of these zones of complete destruction may reach 15-20 km.

"It is extremely difficult for both our fighters and the Russian occupiers to move in this kill zone. This means that it is impossible to deploy troops to break through the front. If the depth of the call zone is 10-20 km, how is it possible to deploy troops? They will be immediately destroyed by artillery," Popovich said.

Given the growing role of unmanned aerial vehicles, the expert predicts that the nature of the war will increasingly turn into a war of one drone against another. This is already happening in the context of countering the "shaheeds".

"One can argue about the effectiveness of anti-aircraft drones, but in any case, we are trying to shoot down both the shaheeds and reconnaissance drones with our own anti-aircraft drones. The enemy is doing the same. "That's why drones currently occupy an important place in conducting combat operations," he notes.

Speaking of the war at sea, Popovich did not rule out that a war of Ukrainian drones against Russian drones could begin there too, because now the Russians want to catch up with Ukraine in the technology of naval unmanned aircraft.

As UNIAN reported, the Russians have focused their efforts on capturing the village of Rodinskoye, which is located northeast of Mirnograd and Pokrovsk. The occupation of this settlement will allow the enemy to open an additional corridor for attempts to invade the mentioned cities.

The Russians want to launch 2,000 "Shaheed" per day, for which they are actively increasing production and building additional launch pads. To counter this threat, new approaches are needed, says aviation expert Konstantin Krivolap.
