Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the most suitable places to hold a meeting with his American counterpart Donald Trump, world agencies reported, BTA reports.
„We have many friends who are ready to help organize such an event. One of them is the president of the United Arab Emirates,” Putin said after a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the Kremlin.
The Russian head of state stressed that both sides had shown interest in such a meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States.
Regarding a possible meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Putin said that the necessary conditions for it to take place were not yet in place.
“I have nothing against it in principle, such a meeting is possible, but certain conditions must be met. Unfortunately, we are still far from them,” the Russian president commented.
