Earlier, Trump said that he expected to meet with his Russian counterpart in Alaska on August 15. The American president published the corresponding post on Truth Social. The Russian leader's adviser, Yuri Ushakov, confirmed the time and location of the summit.
This will be the first face-to-face meeting between the Russian and American leaders since Trump returned to the White House in January 2025.
