At least 13 people were killed and more than 60 injured in two separate bus crashes in southern Peru, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA, citing local authorities.
A fatal accident that killed 10 people occurred in the mountainous region near the Peruvian city of Puno when a bus overturned and fell into a ravine overnight, the local prosecutor's office said.
Another 38 people were injured in the crash, health officials in the city of Sandia, southeast of the capital Lima, said.
In another bus accident in the Cusco area, three people were killed and 30 were injured, the police.
Both accidents are currently under investigation by authorities.
Speeding, poor road conditions, lack of signage, and poor traffic control are the main causes of road accidents in Peru.
