Bulgarian politics has lost its ability for meaningful dialogue and has become a reality show for citizens. This was stated by the chairman of "Bulgarian Rise" Stefan Yanev in the show "Face to Face" on bTV.

"There is no political conversation, but there are scandals and we Bulgarian citizens are becoming viewers of a reality show. This is currently Bulgarian politics. It cannot produce a meaningful conversation," Yanev pointed out.

The former prime minister also touched on the topic of security services, emphasizing that they should serve the state, not individual political figures.

"The services belong to the state, to Bulgarian society – they do not belong to the president, political leaders, and parties. The fact that there is a mechanism of shared responsibility in the appointment process does not mean that it should be changed. The existing method of appointment should remain and the services should develop professionally," he said.

In the interview, Yanev also commented on the increasing number of incidents with drones, emphasizing the need to develop this type of technology in the Bulgarian army.

"Drones are a means of fire, reconnaissance, and surveillance. In recent years, these means have been used a lot. It is good for the Bulgarian army to develop these capabilities, preferably with the participation of the Bulgarian industry," he commented.

Regarding the development of the Bulgarian military industry, Yanev expressed doubts regarding recent financial transactions.

"It is good for the Bulgarian industry to implement new technologies. High-ranking officials from Brussels came and explained that the manufacturing plant should take out a 500 million euro loan. It was announced that everything was great, but I don't know whether and how these 500 million euros will weigh on the plant's budget," said Yanev.

According to him, production depends on certain raw materials, and in the past there were proposals to establish a gunpowder plant that were rejected.

"A gunpowder plant can be built, there have been such offers over the years, including for VMZ, but they were rejected," added the chairman of "Bulgarian Rise".
