In his words there is a crisis in the Sofia Municipality, it has been there for a long time and is demonstrated almost daily in the clash between the mayor and the SOS. There is also an inability to make key decisions.
For his part, political scientist Assoc. Prof. Milen Lyubenov pointed out that the solution to the problems in the judicial system is in the hands of politicians.
"It is obvious that very serious problems have accumulated in the Sofia Municipality. In recent years, the institutions have been taken over by illegitimate structures. An example is the case of Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov. It is high time for the majority to make an election for a parliamentary quota in the Supreme Judicial Council, the prosecutorial and judicial colleges. This will help to overcome the deep crisis in the judicial and political systems. The prosecutorial college must elect a new Acting Prosecutor General, because Sarafov has obviously usurped the position," he commented.
