„The work of any government cannot be isolated, cannot be self-serving. And today also shows it. The fact that the employers did not come to the meeting is a form of dialogue. Non-verbal communication is also communication and I think we will emerge stronger from this situation and next week we will boast a truly effective dialogue“. This was stated by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov in his speech during the celebration of Metallurgist's Day in Sofia, the press center of the Council of Ministers reports.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the trinity of dialogue - employers, unions and government, can only work in its entirety. “We as a society are a hive in which we can both buzz and sting, but we must make honey“, Zhelyazkov noted.
In his speech, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the development of metallurgy. “5% of GDP and 12% of exports are related to this industry, which shows that it is structurally decisive in our country. It is also important for the whole of Europe. This is not a production of black and white films, there is a lot of color in it, there is a lot of added value“, noted Zhelyazkov. In his words, this is a sustainable sector, which, despite the serious challenges of recent years, has serious potential, for whose development a well-functioning common market is important.
Prime Minister Zhelyazkov also emphasized education and the creation of highly qualified specialists. If there are two constant policies for our country, these are demography and education, the Prime Minister pointed out. In his words, they will make the Bulgarian economy, Bulgarian industry and Bulgaria a promising place to live.
