At the previous court hearing, Siyana's father, Nikolay Popov, expressed doubts about the preparation of the auto-technical expertise, which is essential for resolving the case. According to him, lawyer Yavor Notev, who defends the accused and the expert in the case – Prof. Stanimir Karapetkov are in close professional and friendly relations.
For this reason, Nikolay Popov said that he would request a new examination and the removal of Prof. Karapetkov from the case. The defendant in the case is the 65-year-old driver of a heavy truck, Georgi Aleksandrov, who on March 31 this year fatally swept away the car with the little girl and her grandfather in the section between the villages of Telish and Radomirtsi.
