The responsibility for the "Petrohan" case is again not only with the people involved, but with the entire society. This was stated in "The Day Begins" on BNT by lawyer Yordanka Bekirska.
"There are people who do this. There are people who should be notified in cases where there is a similar situation. Here, at least in this specific incident, there may be something wrong, or there may not be. Among the victims is a 15-year-old child, about whom we know nothing. Whether he went to school, we do not know whether he was educated as a private student. Whether this child was there of his own free will".
It is the school that should report the matter to the Child Protection Department. The task of the institutions is to monitor this, Bekirska said.
"The Family Code states that the child always lives with his parents and his removal from his place of residence is only for important reasons. Only then can he be removed. That is the law. The question is that in this particular case, the child may have lived in this hut. Whether he lived there for a certain period - we have no idea. Here the responsibility lies with the parents themselves".
Parental responsibility always lies with both parents and it is always equal, she added.
