"Tyurlyugyuvech" cabinet or manageable compromise: What are the expectations from Gyurov's caretaker government

A terrible lot of expectations have accumulated on the upcoming caretaker cabinet - to resolve many painful issues that have accumulated over years. However, this cannot happen. The main task is fair elections. The focus is on the figure of the Minister of the Interior. The names that are said to be part of Gyurov's caretaker government have a PP-DB profile, and this is logical for the application for a coalition with Rumen Radev. This was said by OFFNews journalist Ruja Raicheva in the studio of "Hello, Bulgaria".
According to Raicheva, Delyan Peevski is guessing who the people around Rumen Radev are and collecting "compromising" in order to "hit" them. And Borisov is waiting for the development of things with the caretaker cabinet.
Political scientist Prof. Rosen Stoyanov believes that the hypotheses with the names of ministers leaked to the media speak of a cabinet of turlyguyvech. "There are so many impossible names inside to live together and make state decisions, very opposite people. For example, old 70s and new progressives from the neoliberal left, some of them are from the PP-DB, as well as former GERBA members. Yotova will criticize, but will also carefully monitor the composition of the government. If there is still an understanding for a coalition between Radev and the PP, I doubt that the DB will participate", he commented.

In his words, if the caretaker Minister of Internal Affairs decides to replace the regional police chiefs, this will cause a reaction in parliament. "Perhaps there will be a dynamic situational majority that will not leave the situation "unpunished", there will be consequences. The National Assembly will supervise the government's activities," Stoyanov added.

He expressed skepticism that Rumen Radev will retain sustainable support, and rather now enjoys a high rating because of the institution he represented.

For his part, political scientist Milen Lyubenov said that it is too early to talk about future coalitions. "The caretaker government should simply lead the country through the elections and reassure citizens. People with administrative and political experience will enter the caretaker cabinet. Some of the names mentioned do not surprise me. I expect to see people from previous caretaker governments who agree to take on the responsible task for three months. The new Minister of Internal Affairs must replace the directors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Offices in the country", said Lyubenov.

He recalled that the parliament will not have the tools to influence the caretaker ministers. "Rumen Radev's result in the elections depends on the people he will put next to him, but according to the surveys he has a very high starting result. For comparison, the NMSV started from 35% a month before the campaign, then they reached 42%", the political scientist recalled.
