“An intimidation operation has been launched against the Minister of Internal Affairs. When a minister starts to clean the Ministry of Internal Affairs of dependencies, the reaction is not long in coming. Scriptwriters appear. Signals appear. Prosecutors appear. This will not stop us“, said Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov at the beginning of today's government meeting, which was not attended by Interior Minister Emil Dechev.
The Prime Minister was categorical that the caretaker government will not budge. “There is no going back”, Gyurov pointed out and added – “our mandate does not stem from dependencies, it stems from the need for the state to take a breather, restore the rules and regain the lost trust“.
The Prime Minister stated that all additional materials for the dismissal of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be presented to President Iliana Yotova today.
Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov addressed the Minister of Finance Georgi Klisurski with the expectation that he will present not only an extended budget, but also a revision of existing public procurements. The Prime Minister demanded that it be made clear today whether it is true that tests cost 30 euros from the money for children with cancer, while in pharmacies they cost 3 euros. If this is true, we will have another explanation why we have been attacked from day one, Gyurov pointed out.
Tomorrow, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with the new regional governors in connection with the preparation of the upcoming early parliamentary elections. The regional governors are new because the old ones were part of a government that fell after the most massive protests in the history of our country. I believe that if we act with courage and integrity, even the most vicious attacks will not stop us, added Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov.
