“BSP is the left-wing party of Bulgaria.“. This was stated by the deputy chairwoman of the left and mayor of Troyan Donka Mihaylova in the program “Hello, Bulgaria“ on NOVA, emphasizing that the new course outlined by the party's Congress already provides a clear direction for the future.

According to her, the BSP is the only authentic left-wing party in the elections, and this is evident both from its policies and from its ability to respond to public expectations for change. “We were the only ones who listened to the people from the protest in December and we ourselves found the strength to change the party leadership and form a new vision for politics.“, Mihaylova pointed out.

“In a future parliament, cooperation will be based on clear policies. The BSP will no longer be a subordinate party.“, she was categorical.

According to her, the left sets anti-corruption as its clear priority. “We could no longer accept that the Supreme Judicial Council and the Prosecutor General are practically acting outside the law.“, emphasized Donka Mihaylova.

Nikolai Berievski: Bulgarian citizens are exhausted - 20 euros per kalpak is not enough

“The BSP has a clear and unchanged position for returning to the negotiating table and settling all military conflicts peacefully, including the new one in the Middle East. Our efforts are for diplomacy.“, stated the leader of the list of the “BSP - UNITED LEFT“ coalition in Lovech, Nikolay Berievski.

The candidate for People's Representative emphasized that the BSP is a state-building party. “We have participated in all important geopolitical processes for the country, including joining NATO and the EU. With our actions, we have proven that we protect the interests of Bulgarian citizens, and right now they are languishing because diesel at the pump this morning is 1.76 euros.“, he pointed out. According to him, a number of European countries have taken serious measures - reducing VAT, eliminating excise duty, capping prices and limiting profits. According to him, “20 euros per kalpak“ is not enough.

“We expect a package of fiscal policies from the Bulgarian government to help agricultural producers, traders, and hoteliers. The role of taxes and excise duties is to be a regulator of the market in times of crisis like this.“, added Donka Mihaylova.

As the first goal of the new parliament, Nikolay Berievski defined the adoption of a regular budget, which would include precisely such measures, in support of Bulgarian citizens.
