The voter turnout as of 4 p.m. is 34.63%, announced the CEC spokesperson Rositsa Mateva at a briefing, quoted by bTV. The highest is in 23 MIRs in Sofia – 43.38%, and the lowest is in Kardzhali – 23.34%.

For comparison, in the National Assembly elections on October 27, 2024, the voter turnout as of 4 p.m. was 26.25%.

So far, the CEC has received 182 complaints and signals – much more than in previous elections for the National Assembly, said Mateva. More than half of them are within the competence of the regional election commissions and are immediately referred to them for a response.

"Many of them are related to problems with machine voting, with numerous signals being sent about a stopped machine in a section by various voters who were unable to vote. There are signals that there is a delay in the voting process, that there are queues and waiting times", explained Rositsa Mateva.

There are also signals of agitation on social networks.

"Social media is not a media service and the CEC does not consider complaints and signals about violations of the election process on social media, so they are left without consideration", specified Mateva.
Currently, machine voting has been suspended in 75 sections in our country, with the most in Burgas – 5, in Pleven - 5, in Sofia - 6 and in Haskovo - 6, and Yambol - 5. The rest are one, two or three.

Outside the country, there are reports of problems with three machines, which have been removed and machine voting continues.

"The report is as of 5 p.m. today. In the previous elections, machine voting was suspended with 113 machines at 6 p.m.,", explained the CEC spokesperson.

Voting has ended in Australia in six sections. The election protocols have been submitted to the CEC. It has also ended in New Zealand in two sections, in South Korea in one section, in Singapore and in Tokyo.
