The Judicial College has initiated disciplinary proceedings against six judges from the Criminal Division of the Sofia District Court (SRS). This is done at the suggestion of the Inspectorate of the High Judicial Council, reported lex.bg.
It has become clear that the offenses for which the Inspectorate wants to punish the six were established at the beginning of November 2023 and the panel had to start the proceedings today in order not to miss the six-month legal deadline for doing so. What they are was not indicated at the meeting of the collegium.
The first judge against whom disciplinary proceedings began was Nikolay Vassilev. The college “took“ from the proposal of IVSS in four cases, but in the rest he decided to initiate disciplinary proceedings. Sevdalin Mavrov was elected chairman and reporter of the disciplinary panel against Judge Vassilev, and members of the panel are Olga Kerelska and Boyan Novanski.
Disciplinary proceedings were initiated against judge Chavdar Kostov. Its composition includes Dragomir Koyadzhikov, Boyan Magdalinchev and Stefan Grozdev, who is the chairman and rapporteur.
The third disciplinarian is against Judge Angel Pavlov. The panel that will examine it is chaired and rapporteur Veronika Imova and members Olga Kerelska and Daniela Marcheva.
The panel of judges initiated disciplinary proceedings also against judge Radoslava Kacherilska. Its composition is chaired and reported by Stefan Grozdev and members Boyan Magdalinchev and Stefan Grozdev.
The collegium refused to institute a disciplinary process for 10 cases of judge Vesela Doncheva, but started one for the others, in which the IVCS points out that violations have been established. Atanaska Disheva, Olga Kerelska and Dragomir Kojadzhikov, who is the chairman and rapporteur, entered the composition.
The last judge from the Sofia District Court, against whom disciplinary proceedings began today, is Emanuela Kurteva. It will be examined by Boyan Magdalinchev, Boyan Novanski and Sevdalin Mavrov (chairman and reporter).
