I have no worries about a constitutional crisis. A caretaker prime minister was found, but even if that had not happened, there was still no risk of a constitutional crisis. Bulgaria would still have a government and a parliament. This was stated by the political scientist Assoc. Daniel Smilov on the air of Nova TV.
„What lies ahead today in the National Assembly is firefighting of a kind. The laws, which are about to pass the second reading today, must fix the text in the Constitution related to the home book. Nobody expected early elections so soon, but I don't believe that Hristo Ivanov doesn't remember who made the amendments to the Constitution”, says journalist Valentina Voikova, quoted by novini.bg.
Her colleague Lyubcho Neshkov has no worries that Bulgaria will have a caretaker government and elections will be held: “I am worried, however, that Bulgaria ignores the difficult issues in the world. We don't even pay attention to things that directly affect us in the neighborhood, but instead engage in a political debate in which politicians seem to want to go to the lowest level. We have hollow foreign policy messages.”
„We continue the change”-„Democratic Bulgaria” they have doubts about the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, respectively, they would also have doubts about the conduct of the elections if they participate in the official cabinet. We did not find out if the Ministry of Internal Affairs guarded the “SS club”; if Martin Bojanov – The notary was a broker of influence, if he cooperated with the police, what did that mean? From this point of view, the personality of Kalin Stoyanov is problematic, Smilov stressed.
„If we ask why a government cannot be formed for so long, why GERBs cannot implement a mandate – it's because of the corruption baggage they carry. The question is, have they seriously decided to get rid of it, or have they seriously decided to hide it. Rather, it is the second”, he added.
Voikova believes that the behavior of PP-DB and DPS is quite unsustainable: “We saw that work is done in the common interest, if there is no – all partners are enemies. What will be the talk between these people, what will happen after the elections for a possible similar coalition? The part in the amendments to the Constitution in which the National Assembly continues to work until the appointment of a second – the parliament has to do serious things, but it will become an arena of an election campaign.”
„The notary, the dwarfs, the road map – these are structural things. This means that in Bulgaria dependent people are recruited by extortion. I do not agree that it is about throwing mud at this and that. We are going to these elections because of opportunism”, Smilov is categorical.
„What after the elections? Therefore, it is important to be careful who says what. PP-DB managed to manage with everything possible on the field, without “Revival”. They managed to hate each other. We must respect the voters of these parties, not like the leaders of the parties, Voikova also said.
