We propose that all pensioners in the state receive a BGN 100 supplement to their pension for the upcoming Easter holidays. Our proposal is related to the fact that GERB - DPS - SDS submitted a proposal which said that all pensioners below the poverty line should receive a 75 BGN supplement for the Easter holidays. This is what the MP from "Vazrazhdane" told journalists in the parliament. Georgi Georgiev, reported a Novini.bg reporter.
We from "Revival" we say - why only pensioners who are below the poverty line? Why, for example, does a pensioner who has a pension of BGN 528, which is BGN 2 more than the poverty threshold, not deserve to receive an Easter supplement? Could this pensioner be less poor than the others? That's why we from "Revival" we want to correct this discrimination and injustice, pointed out Georgiev.
It is very important to clarify that GERB's proposal – DPS is not supported financially, while we from "Vazrazhdane" we have tabled a proposal where we say where the funds for the supplements for both Easter and Christmas will come from. We are saying that from April until the end of the year, the Supplementary Mandatory Pension Insurance account should be transferred to the State Social Security account insurance. Thus, more than BGN 1.5 billion will be added to the account of the PDO, with which funds will be provided for this money for supplements to pensions, and also 1 billion will remain, which will cover part of the large deficit in the PDO, announced the deputy from " ;Revival".
GERD – The DPS did something they shouldn't do – they tried to make pre-election populism on the backs of Bulgarian pensioners. In our opinion, from "Revival" such a proposal must come out of the Committee on Labor and Social Policy, supported by all political formations in that committee, and that is exactly what we will do today in the committee. Yesterday in this commission GERB – The SDF sneakily introduced such a proposal and today a committee is immediately formed in connection with this proposal, which is contrary to the rules of the National Assembly. These people constantly violate the rules and laws in Bulgaria, so I am not surprised by their actions, Georgi Georgiev also said.
