The so-called. Euro-Atlantic slogans are a screen behind which the PP-DB assembly, GERB and DPS frame as they wish. These people have shown that they need a government that will carry out their party tasks. This is what Krasimir Karakachanov - former Minister of Defense and honorary chairman of VMRO - said on the air of BNT.

"The changes in the Constitution and the vaunted judicial reform are piecemeal for personal interests. They appoint a caretaker government, change ministers, it is a party government. GERB and DPS, which govern in a combination, they need a fig leaf after the elections to be able to govern," Karakachanov said.

The leader of VMRO criticized, in his words, unprofitable deals that the former Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev concluded.

"Minister Tagarev liked more to say things that the public did not like and things that had nothing to do with common sense and logical politics. Especially with his slogans regarding the war in Ukraine, some final positions. Including Prime Minister Denkov, he spoke like we can suffer and suffer damage, but the important thing is that Ukraine wins. It annoys people. People imagine Bulgarian ministers and MPs as people who should take care of the Bulgarian interest, not the interest of third countries. There were quite a few controversial issues during Tagarev's time about modernization and rearmament. The deal with the so-called Stryker Dragon armored vehicles, which were old machines and we bought at least twice, I would say three times the prices. Old, discontinued machines, which we can neither maintain in Bulgaria, nor supply them with ammunition. The deal was concluded during the time of Minister Tagarev, for a BGN 2.5 billion deal. In my time, more modern machines with level 4 protection, mine protection, etc. were BGN 1.7 billion. Tagarev spent this huge sum, instead of investing those 2 billion in building capacities in Bulgaria, with which we could produce our own equipment. As Poland, Hungary and Ukraine were doing just that. With the deal with the 3D radars, we increased by BGN 400 million. Minister Tagarev's team did not even try to reduce the price", Karakachanov also said.
