A policeman with 1.84 ppm of alcohol caused an accident in Veliko Tarnovo

A policeman caused an accident yesterday evening on a busy boulevard in Veliko Tarnovo. The breathalyzer recorded 1.84 parts per million of alcohol. The policeman is under arrest. He was in his personal car, they confirmed for "Horizon" from the ODMVR.

Around 9 p.m. at the traffic light next to the Regional Directorate of Forestry on "Bulgaria“ Blvd. in Veliko Tarnovo there was an accident in which another car was involved, driven by a woman with a child traveling with her.

After the accident, an argument broke out between the two drivers.

According to unconfirmed information, the police officer threw objects at the other car. 4 police cars arrived at the scene. The check with the technical device found 1.84 per million of alcohol in the policeman.

It is not yet clear whether he gave a blood sample for analysis.

There were no injuries in the crash.

The ODMVR did not specify who the policeman was. He was an ordinary employee in the structure of the regional directorate.

An investigative case has been opened on the case.
