The Government has proposed amendments to the regulations governing the issuing of motor vehicle licences, accountability and driver discipline to bring the regulations in line with those already in place changes in other laws.
An example of this is the innovation, according to which, when obtaining a driver's license, the driver will start with two-thirds of the maximum number of checkpoints, with the rest acquired after two years of experience. Previously, each new driver received the full number of checkpoints and an inspection coupon to confirm the license.
The new regulation also notes that persons with medical qualifications such as "master" in medicine or dentistry, as well as paramedics and nurses, are no longer required to present a certificate of completion of a first aid course, as was previously required.
According to the amendments, opportunities for accelerated issuance of certificates are provided for various cases, such as acquisition of a new category, restoration of deprived rights or expiration of the certificate. Applications for these services are submitted to the "Traffic Police" and their processing includes checks through automated data exchange systems.
Furthermore, the introduction of the status "Driver of motor vehicles without penalties" is planned. in the national register for drivers, which takes into account whether the driver has not had any penalties for traffic violations in the last 6 years or since the beginning of his driving, provided he has a minimum of six years of experience.
