At the moment we are witnessing a permanent, sustainable price equilibrium – a process that started already in the middle of last year.
This was stated by the chairman of the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Markets Vladimir Ivanov to Euronews Bulgaria.
We still can't talk about cheapening in the sense that people understand – to make a visibly cheaper basket. In practice, the prices are as they were on Friday, they will be as they were next Friday and the one after that. We have a permanent, sustainable, dynamic equilibrium.
And compared to last year, the prices of basic foods are 6% lower.
