Changes in the methodology for the verification of voting machines were released for public discussion

The Ministry of e-Government published for public discussion changes in the methodology for verifying compliance on the voting machines for the June 9 elections, NOVA reported. This was announced by the office of the acting minister Valentin Mundrov.

The project was prepared jointly with the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology and the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization and can be viewed on the website of the ministry.

The changes to the methodology are minimal and affect the individual stages of certification of compliance of technical devices for machine voting. The reasons for the changes are detailed in a document entitled "motives - updating methodology".

Until May 8, all interested parties can provide an opinion on the Methodology in the ministry's office or by e-mail: Mail@egov.government.bg.

We recall that on April 29, during a public procedure at the Ministry of e-Government, the serial numbers of a total of ten voting machines were randomly drawn, which will undergo compliance verification before the upcoming "two-in-one" elections. on June 9.

The drawing of numbers was attended by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, acting Minister of Electronic Government Valentin Mundrov, as well as representatives of the Central Election Commission and its public council. Representatives of the parliamentary parties represented in the 49th National Assembly were also invited and attended the public draw.
