Daniel Mitov: The names from the draft cabinet "Zhelyazkov" are strong figures, they can solve problems from the first day

We offered all parties a conversation on priorities. With some we can't find common ground, but with others we could, for example with PP-DB. However, they started to behave like political observers and analysts, instead of being politicians, commented the nominee for Foreign Minister

The names from the draft government are proven experts, strong figures, who can start solving problems from the first day in the relevant ministries. I have no idea how the MRF will vote tomorrow. This was stated on the air of "Zdravej, Bulgaria" by the GERB-SDF MP Daniel Mitov, who was proposed for Foreign Minister in the draft cabinet of Rosen Zhelyazkov.
According to him, a coalition must be formed in order not to have to go to new early elections. "We offered all parties a conversation on priorities. We can't find common ground with some, but we could with others, for example with PP-DB. However, they started to behave like political observers and analysts, instead of being politicians. The state has very clear goals that GERB has been striving for during its administrations. Due to inadequate decisions over the last 3 years, payments under the PVU were frozen. We also need to remove Bulgaria from the gray list of the group that monitors money laundering," he commented.

According to him, it is quite normal for caretaker ministers to be allowed to work in a regular cabinet if they do well.

"We will adopt legislation that will unblock payments under the PVU. We also need to sort out public finances so that we can be accepted into the eurozone without any problems," Mitov added.

When asked if Maria Gabriel is still an active part of GERB, he replied that she continues to be part of the party's future.

Commenting on the NATO Summit in Washington, Mitov expressed his surprise that the president claimed to lead the delegation. "The head of state is obliged to comply with the positions of the Council of Ministers, but he said he would not do so. The official foreign position of the country must be articulated with the government," he said categorically.

The MP called on the new Patriarch Daniil to be a unifier and a true spiritual shepherd of the nation.
