Gvozdeikov kicks off the renovation of the air ambulance base at Burshen Airport

The Official Minister of Transport and announcements Georgi Gvozdeikov and the mayor of Sliven municipality Stefan Radev will start the repair of the temporary operational base for the emergency medical assistance by air (HEMS), which is located at "Bershen" airport. This was announced by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, quoted by BTA.

The event will take place today at 11:00 a.m. at "Bershen" airport, Sliven.

The Municipality of Sliven provided for temporary use land and a building, which will be used until the construction of the permanent operational base, which will also be located on the territory of the airport, according to the Ministry.

We remind you that on July 7, Minister Georgi Gvozdeikov announced on his Facebook page that the overhaul of the hangar at "Bershen" airport will begin this week. in Sliven, where from the end of October operational base - Sliven will be put into operation and on duty.

In March, Gvozdeikov said that in "Bershen" will be the second operational base for air medical emergency operations. The second helicopter will be positioned there, which will serve the eastern part of Bulgaria.
