Lena Borislavova: We will not delay. We may ask for a mandate to be handed to us this week

In the last four parliaments we always rely on PP-DB to propose a solution and every time we come out with a solution and by some miracle two of those times we managed to form a regular government. But it can't be, both they want to hang us on their lapels, with those with whom we manage, and also to prevent the priorities that we consider extremely important from happening, Borislavova also commented

I am extremely sick about what is happening in Yambol region, because a part of my relatives lives there. I hope that with the efforts of the services and volunteers, this problem will be brought under control. I really wish that instead of having these arguments in parliament, this 100 million, which will cost the next election, will be used for equipment. It is for this reason that we sat down with our colleagues and tried to propose a solution for a way out of the political crisis. This was stated by Lena Borislavova from “We continue the change” in “More from the day” on BNT, quoted by novini.bg.

All the meetings have already ended, but we have not yet sat down to discuss with the DB colleagues who are in the contact group, what are their impressions of the behind-the-scenes talks. What we have seen demonstrated by all parties is yet again an unwillingness to resolve these long-delayed issues. Every time it comes to having laws actually voted in the hall on all these sore topics, every time an excuse is found from each of the other parties as to how this should not happen, she explained.

What we offer them is a solution to get out of the crisis. In the last four parliaments we always rely on PP-DB to propose a solution and every time we come out with a solution and by some miracle two of those times we managed to form a regular government. It's just that they can't both want to hang us on their lapels, with those with whom we manage, and also not to allow the priorities that we consider to be extremely important to happen. What did GERB say: “Your declaration is very nice, but we will not work for it. Better choices. It is fairer to go to elections. Everything that is for more justice should be voted on in this parliament. From “Revival” what they said: “We cannot support now, because there are no issues of leaving NATO and lifting sanctions against Russia”. Regarding our priorities, there is hardly anyone who would like to hold a referendum or wonder if it is right to want the prosecutor's office to be independent, for the court to act equally for everyone and for there to be no clubs from the institutions. These are not topics on which there is a conflict, on which there can be a dispute in society about whether we need it as a society, stressed Borislavova.
During all nine months these laws were worked on. We are not offering anything new. The text of the Law on the Judiciary is ready and uploaded for public discussion. The Personal Bankruptcy Act, again passed in first reading during these nine months, a working group worked to improve it and it involved all parties. The other whistleblower law was once passed, evaluated by the EC, returned with comments. Bulgarian and European institutions and people's representatives worked on these texts. These are topics on the agenda. We have been waiting for the personal bankruptcy law for 12 years. Very quickly, all colleagues showed their true faces and said that these laws will not be voted on, she stressed.

We have put these bills on the table and it is up to our opponents whether this “trick” will work against them. If they want to show their constituents that they want more justice, that there should be a bankruptcy regime, none of us are going to stop them. We are absolutely open with this process and give the opportunity for it to happen, Lena Borislavova also said.

We will not drag out this process. It is very likely that we will ask for a mandate to be handed to us already within this week, in view of the behavior of the other parties in the National Assembly. If this process does not happen, if we do not see laws voted by this majority, it means that it is incapable of forming a government and we will not waste valuable time, she announced.
