With the BSP we united around common priorities such as a major labor reform in favor of working people, to be categorically opposed to any attempt to return GERB and DPS to the management of the country and involve Bulgaria in a war.

This is what the leader of "Get up, Bulgaria" wrote. Maya Manolova in her personal Facebook profile.

Here's what else she said in her post on the social network.

FOCUS publishes the text without editorial intervention:

Today, from Stand Up Bulgaria, we held our first meeting with the new leadership of the BSP for future common actions and for a broad unification of the left forces in the country.

The collapse of the political system is the collapse of statehood. What is needed is not just a unification of the left, a re-foundation is needed. We are obliged to do what people expect from us the most - the creation of a strong and responsible left front that will bring back normalcy in Bulgaria. Years will pass and our heirs will not care who was right and who was wrong, but will ask “What did you do to avoid the catastrophe?"

With the BSP we united around common priorities such as a major labor reform for the benefit of workers, to be categorically opposed to any attempt to return GERB and DPS to the management of the country and drag Bulgaria into war.

We received assurances from Borislav Gutsanov, the chairman of the parliamentary group of the BSP, and Atanas Zafirov, temporarily acting as the chairman of the party, that the new leadership has categorically stopped the unprincipled and fratricidal war that Kornelia Ninova was waging with the president until now. Bulgaria has stood up and the future unification will continue to support the only remaining stable and honorable institution in the person of President Rumen Radev.

That is why on July 26 in Stara Zagora we will sign a conceptual document on which the future left-wing union will step, and on July 27 we will climb Buzludzha together!
