The Metropolitan Municipal Council approved the merger of two municipal hospitals. With 34 votes "for", 18 "against" it was voted to merge the Fourth City Hospital into the Second City Hospital. This was reported by Nova TV, quoted by news.bg.
The proposal to merge the two hospitals was submitted earlier this week by the GERB-SDS group.
According to the chairman of the SOS, Tsvetomir Petrov, this is a step towards the termination of the Fourth General Hospital.
During debates that started the past day, Vanya Grigorova pointed out that the medical facility has an uncovered loss of over 4 million BGN and liabilities of over 400 thousand BGN.
PP-DB-Save Sofia, for their part, asked for the rehabilitation of the hospital. According to municipal councilor Saad Alwani, the municipality is no longer managed solely by GERB and there is a chance and solutions for the hospital.
