It is not excluded that there will be attempts for political staffing in the future cabinet, but on the other hand, this is not excluded with the protest of the policemen today, the statements of the current minister from the last few days – the impression is created that this department is gaining more and more importance.
This is what the sociologist from the “Market Links” agency said on Euronews PrimeTime. Dobromir Zhivkov.
“The portfolio of the Minister of the Interior is really very important, it is also related to the conduct of the elections, it is the Ministry of the Interior that bears the main responsibility for stopping the illegal practices related to the electoral process. On the other hand, sometimes the personality of the minister is not of such importance, because if we are talking about whether a minister can be replaced in the current situation with another who works with the same methods regarding the elections, then there will be no significant difference&rdquo ;, the sociologist also explained.
However, we must say that there are substantial doubts that the last elections were saturated with precisely this type of vicious practice, namely controlled and bought votes.
According to Dobromir Zhivkov, then the elections were not disputed, because according to him, this is a different political game.
“Disputing the election means that you have to calculate and assess that your result was almost on the edge and it was this type of practice that led to your loss, which in this case is clearly not the case.” Zhivkov also said.
