Stara Zagora is teeming with prostitutes and pimps

There is no law to punish them

Residents of Stara Zagora complain about the constant presence of prostitutes and pimps in an emblematic park in the city. The municipality is taking additional measures to deal with the problem, which has been around for years, reports Bulgaria ON AIR.

It turns out that there is no law by which priestesses of love can be sanctioned, because there is no ban on standing in a public place. This can only be done if they violate public order.

It is expected that with the presence of physical security, the problem in the Station Garden will be solved.

"Once there is a problem that our fellow citizens report, we cannot justify ourselves with the fact that there is no law. We are trying to solve the problems with the resource and capabilities we have to date. We are taking new measures to conclude a contract with a private security company, which will physically be able to take over the whole day and have the presence of security guards who, in cooperation with the police, will solve this problem for Stara Zagora", said the secretary of the municipality of Stara Zagora Nikolay Dikov .
