There is a real danger that the Bulgarian market will be “flooded” with Chinese goods because of the US tariffs. This was stated in “Hello, Bulgaria” by the chairman of the general meeting of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vasil Velev. According to him, many companies in our country are already feeling the burden of the measures and have laid off their workers.
Velev is categorical that adequate actions are needed, because “the picture is not at all joyful”. “However, we do not expect such to be adopted by the current European Commission, so the resignation of its leadership should be requested”, the expert pointed out.
According to him, given the current situation, the actions of US President Donald Trump are fully justified. “American industry is also going down. "Its share has shrunk," emphasized the chairman of the AIKB general meeting. He showed data according to which the production of the US and EU taken together is as much as that of China. "Sanctions against Russia are harming the European Union. It is committing suicide with them," Velev believes.
