Bulgaria will be home to one of the six new artificial intelligence factories of the European Union.

Our country wins a project with funding of 90 million euros in competition with some of the most developed countries, thanks to the results achieved by the Institute for Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence – INSAIT.

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and the Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research of Switzerland - Guy Parmelin visited INSAIT on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of its establishment.

Zhelyazkov stated that INSAIT's activities exceed initial expectations.

He emphasized that the partnership with the leading Swiss universities ETH Zurich and EPFL Lausanne has led to the creation of a sustainable scientific model that puts Bulgaria on the map of global innovations. Zhelyazkov announced that the institute is already attracting talents from over 150 countries, and the interest in it is huge - 4,000 applications for just 10 research positions.
