The search for the prosecutor's son Vasil Mihaylov continues. At the moment, it is unclear where he may be hiding, but his lawyer from his previous case claims that, according to him, he did not leave the country.
New evidence has emerged that he inflicted a beating and committed hooliganism against third parties in Pernik after he was released.
Zornitsa Kostova, a lawyer for some of the victims, commented to BNT that in her opinion Mihaylov's actions are more serious and confirmed that there are also cases of extortion.
"It is not about hooliganism at all. In my opinion, if his actions in the period after his release are proven, they would have more serious qualifications. This will depend on the collection of evidence. Three people approached me," Kostova said.
The lawyer cited as an example the owner of a car service, who became a victim of extortion by Mihaylov.
"A car service owner approached me, who was extremely surprised at one point when Mr. Mihaylov, together with his uncle, visited this facility in broad daylight. The uncle remained at the gate of the facility. Mr. Mihaylov approached and told the owner that he owed five thousand leva. This happened on May 9," Kostova said.
Zornitsa Kostova said that a detailed complaint is being prepared, in which all facts and evidence will be described.
"The goal is to provide maximum assistance to the prosecution. This report will be filed at the latest by the end of this week," the lawyer said.
The lawyer explained that there are other cases, for which the victims have not filed reports.
"I can say, quite unofficially, that there was a young boy who was visited at work. He was beaten and threatened, but the boy never dared to officially speak out and file complaints," Kostova commented.
