After Kiril Petkov submitted his resignation as an MP on Monday, the National Assembly is expected to vote on it today. This is included as the first item on the parliament's agenda.
Last week, Petkov said that after the corruption scandal in the Sofia Municipality, he would step down not only as "co-chair" of "We Continue the Change", but also as a member of parliament.
On Sunday, the party's Executive Council accepted his resignation, and Petkov announced that he will not run for new party positions in the fall.
