In Sofia, the phased shutdown of hot water for subscribers of “Toplofikatsiya Sofia“ began at the beginning of July.
The reason is the maintenance of the main and auxiliary facilities of the heating districts.
The goal is to carry out the mandatory technical inspections, tests and maintenance, as well as to use the time for urgent repairs on compromised sections of the heating network.
In normal operating mode, such activities would lead to unforeseen service interruptions for more than 48 hours – something that the company wants to avoid with timely planning and implementation of the activities, the company specifies.
The schedule according to which the heat supply will be stopped:
July 1-6 for the „Lyulin“
July 21-28 for the „Zemlyane“
August 4-8 for the „Sofia“ TPP
September 1-8 for the „Sofia Iztok“ TPP
Slight deviations from this schedule are possible for both TPPs, so the exact dates will be announced 15 days before the hot water shutdown.
The neighborhoods affected by the preventive maintenance are:
