The mother of the child who died in Nessebar: First one belt broke, then the second one in a hundredth of a second and he flew away

From the belts that were supposed to hold him, some threads were visible from below - untied, torn. He did not stay up at all, said Maria Daneva

The mother of the 8-year-old child who died on an attraction in Nessebar speaks to bTV. The day after the serious incident when falling from a parachute, it became clear that no institution in the state fully controls this type of equipment.

„We have been to Nessebar every year since the child was born. In the same place, because it is very nice there. For three years, since the child turned five, he has only looked at them and enjoyed them. And every year he asks us to take him on. Last year, the year before last, we said that he is still tiny, although it says from 3 years and up. It should be safe“, said Maria Daneva.

„This year he was already waiting for them. The first day, they were gone the second day. And when he saw them on the third day, when we were on vacation and he was running and happy, and he asked us to take him on board. We went and nothing - no briefing was held, nothing“, said the mother.

„They put us on the boat. We were lifted up. I can't say how high, but we were quite high. I don't know how many meters“, she specified.

„He was looking around, he was a super executive child. When you tell him not to move, he stands and doesn't move. He held on and just moved his eyes to look at how beautiful it was and to be happy that he was finally up there. And how beautiful the sea is, and how he will go to the "Sunny Beach" amusement park in the evening, the mother continued her story.

„And all I heard for a hundredth of a second - tick-tock and the two belts broke. From the belts that were supposed to hold him, you could see some threads from below - untied, torn. He didn't stay up at all. First one broke, then in a hundredth of a second the second broke and he flew and fell. And no one was doing anything down there“, said Maria Daneva.

„I tried to unbuckle myself so I could get down to him, because he was alone down there and no one was doing anything. I couldn't. And the boat stood, stood, stood. And they were holding me in the air and trying to take me down. And I was screaming from above and I couldn't do anything. And the boat went in the exact opposite direction. She didn't know where the child was. And when I waved harder so they could see, with the idea of seeing where he was, I started to lose sight of him and I kept standing up there“, the mother continued her story.

“A jet came and they put him on, and they kept holding me up there. After they took me off, I wanted them to take me there or at least call so they could know what the child's condition was. The doctor who was on the beach tried to do everything she could. I stayed with her the whole time, doing whatever I could to help until the ambulance came, because it was quite late. Then I said that another ambulance had to come, which was the resuscitation ambulance, now it's even later“, the mother explained.

“No one introduced themselves to me. No one came to tell me the company or names. I have not signed anywhere to see any document. Absolutely nothing - neither we nor we have been instructed, nor have we signed anything“, she added.

“Basically, I have seen on the website that it is suitable, that it is safe for children over 3 years old. For an experience, in which I decided that he is already 8 and can go up. That he is big, big enough, since it is allowed for children from 3 years old. My child is gone. What is justice? No one can give him back to me. I just want to know what happened“, the child's mother concluded her story.
