"No one will earn a higher salary than me", said Boyko Borisov during his first term as prime minister. At that time, there was dissatisfaction in society with huge salaries in some ministries. Today, the 5th GERB cabinet, Boyko Borisov has already degenerated into a grumbling waiter of the majority who has no particular opinion on anything. Even his energy for skits has evaporated. Borisov has brought Bulgaria to some absurd model of state pay - state millionaires and state survivors. Anti-European.

This was published on his Facebook page by Kaloyan Metodiev - a member of the Executive Council of "Rebellious Bulgaria". Here is more from his comment:

The media is flooded with publications about state officials who take tens of thousands of leva per month from taxpayers. In the Supreme Judicial Council, an average of 20 thousand per person per month! It's the same along the route - boards, regulators, commissions, hospitals.... The deputies just received another 11% increase. A sea of parasites with six-figure incomes. Where else in the world is this? European prime ministers and presidents don't take that much. The prime ministers of Slovenia, Croatia, Portugal, Estonia receive less than a member of the Bulgarian Supreme Judicial Council.
Not to mention the luxuries - security guards, cars for every louse, privileges.... In our country, there are at least three fictional ministries, dozens of unnecessary agencies.... Against this background, the government is taking out loan after loan, there is no revenue in the budget, there is no water, social and business programs are frozen...
They have completely gone berserk. This has grown around the state and is suffocating it in its smug arrogance. An anti-bureaucratic revolution and aligning state pay with that of a prime minister, who is the most powerful person in a country (de jure). And citizens should follow suit. This is the fair and working European model. You have gone too far!
