At the end of August, Bulgarian representatives participated in the Prayer Breakfast in Kiev, as well as in the celebrations on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day, BNT reported.
Their participation was at the invitation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Prayer Breakfast continues a long-standing American tradition and is a place to promote dialogue and universally valid values. Today, some of the representatives of the Bulgarian delegation shared their impressions of both the high-level meetings in Kiev and the situation in Ukraine.
Olesya Ilashchuk, Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria:With their own eyes, they had the opportunity to feel the pulse of Ukraine and the indomitable spirit of Ukrainians who defend justice, law and legality. I take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to the Bulgarian people, to Bulgaria, to the government, to public and non-governmental organizations, to volunteers, to cultural and educational institutions, to business and to all our sincere friends who support Ukraine. Together and united we are strong.
Solomon Passy, President of the Atlantic Club: Perhaps the most impressive thing that passed before my eyes was the ceremony on the square, at which President Zelensky honored both the families of the fallen soldiers and the soldiers who showed themselves. This was an element of this indomitable Ukrainian spirit.
