During a specialized police operation against drug crimes conducted on March 6, two local residents were arrested in the custody of the Botevgrad Regional Police Department. During a check of the address of a 44-year-old, forensic officers found and seized various types of drugs: three bags of white crystalline substance hidden in a glasses case; an bag with 9 heads of dry herbaceous mass and a box of herbaceous mass.
During the field drug test, the crystalline substance with a total weight of 30 grams reacted to methamphetamine, and the dry herbaceous mass with a total weight of 17 grams - to cannabis. The convicted resident of the address was detained for a period of up to 24 hours, and pre-trial proceedings for a crime under Art. 354A of the Criminal Code were initiated in the case. Narcotics - a bag with 3 grams of a white powdery substance, reacting to amphetamine, the police officers found during the inspection at another address in Botevgrad. On the same day, a police operation on the "drugs" line was also conducted by officers of the Ihtiman Regional Police Department. In the house of a 20-year-old local resident, they found a plastic box with 93 grams of a herbaceous mass, reacting to cannabis. For medical reasons, the man was not detained in police custody. On March 8, a special operation to combat drug crimes was also conducted by Kostinbrod forensic experts. During the inspection of a private address in the city, a box with about 10 grams of a herbaceous mass, reacting to cannabis, a white lump weighing about 2 grams, reacting to amphetamine, and a plastic bag with about a gram of a white powdery substance, reacting to ephedrine, were found and seized. The 39-year-old criminally active resident of the address was detained for a period of up to 24 hours. Expedited proceedings for a crime under Art. 354A of the Criminal Code were initiated.
