A criminally active Pernik resident has been detained for assault in a minor traffic accident. The incident occurred yesterday at around 8:00 p.m. at the "Shakhtyor" roundabout in the regional city.
Two cars collided without any injuries. The drivers began arguing about who was at fault, during which a 28-year-old punched the other participant - a 48-year-old also from the city of Pernik - several times.
The police officers who arrived at the scene stopped the ugly scenes and detained the aggressive man. He was given a police measure for a period of up to 24 hours, and the injured person was examined at the "R. Angelova" Hospital. and released for home treatment.
A case has been opened for causing bodily harm by hooliganism. The prosecutor's office has been notified and the investigation is continuing.
