The far-right French party "National Rally" announced today that its leaders Jordan Bardella and Marine Le Pen had rejected Prime Minister Sebastien Le Corneille's invitation to participate in talks to resolve the political crisis, Le Monde and Reuters reported, BTA reports.

The prime minister, who has only been in office for a month, had called on "all political forces" to hold talks by tomorrow. A little earlier, former minister Edouard Philippe had stated that he supported holding early elections. However, the idea was rejected by Gabriel Attal, notes the newspaper "Monde".

The Greens met with the far-left "France Insubordinate", the Socialist Party and the French Communists, the publication adds.

After the meeting of the left parties, the "Greens" and the Communists published in "Ex" a statement according to which "Emmanuel Macron must appoint a left-wing and green prime minister and government in the Matignon (at the head of government - BTA note)".

The meeting was also attended by representatives of civil society.

The text also condemns the president's refusal to "change the political course".

"We are ready to govern together to pursue a policy of social and environmental progress and fiscal justice, in which we will restore the full role of parliament", the text also states.
