One person died when a bridge collapsed in Russia, TASS reported, citing BTA, citing the authorities.
Six people were injured. Five of them are hospitalized.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon in the western Smolensk region bordering Belarus. The Panina overpass in the city of Vyazma collapsed at a time when trucks and cars were passing through it.
The movement of trains on the Moscow-Minsk railway line, which passes under the collapsed facility, has been stopped.
The Russian authorities are investigating the case.
The operation to clear the debris continues into the night.
