Ukraine is ready to negotiate, but not to surrender, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko said in "Ex". She made her statement after information appeared in the media that the US had proposed a deal according to which Ukraine would give up almost all of the territory occupied by Russia, BTA reported.

"We will not conclude an agreement that would give Russia the opportunity to become stronger, regroup and return with even more devastating force," Sviridenko wrote. "A complete ceasefire - on land, air and sea - is the necessary first step," she said, adding that if Moscow chooses a partial ceasefire instead, Kiev will respond in kind."

Ukraine will discuss in London ways to achieve a "complete and unconditional ceasefire" as a first step towards peace, Reuters and Agence France-Presse reported, citing a statement on social media by the head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, Andriy Yermak.

Yermak said he had arrived in London earlier today with Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov to "meet with American and European mediators", despite the announcement by the British Foreign Office that a planned ministerial-level meeting had been postponed.

Earlier today, the Foreign Office said that a ministerial-level meeting in London on the war in Ukraine had been postponed and that the talks would instead be held at the level of advisers.
