Emmanuel Macron is ready to call Russian President Vladimir Putin after the ceasefire in Ukraine, the French president told the TF1 television channel.
“I will do this in full transparency and in coordination with Zelensky and in close coordination with my European partners after the ceasefire. Dialogue with him is necessary.“
France is using all its possibilities to transfer equipment and machinery from its reserves to Ukraine and cannot increase supplies without endangering its security, Macron noted.
"We gave Ukraine everything we had. We even produced much more and much faster. But you cannot give away what you do not have. We also cannot do without what is necessary for our own security," he said.
The president specified that his country had transferred to Kiev a large amount of shells and various equipment, including artillery systems. "We not only transferred everything we could, but we also tripled our production. This year, everything we produce is being sent to Ukraine. We even collected weapons that we had sold to others and sent them to Ukraine. So we did everything possible," he stressed.
The president said that "the entire brigade" had been trained in France and had joined the Ukrainian armed forces under the name "Anna Kievska".
